LIUZHOU, CHINA — This weekend gave way for celebration in China as citizens looked to the moon in the name of the Mid-Autumn Festival.
Luckily for them, the moon came in for a closer look.
The inflatable bouncing ball was filmed on busy roads after it escaped a nearby event in the Guangxi city of Liuzhou.
In the video, the lunar airball can be seen skipping over a car before it hops over an intersection as a man gives chase.
According to Pear Video, the nearly 2-meter diameter moon broke loose in the wind because it wasn't adequately tied down.
Those charged with caring for the inflatable satellite received a thorough talking-to from local police.
The break-away moon was eventually recovered and deflated.
