Samsung Electronics is expected to consolidate its leading position in the global DRAM market this year.
A report from analysts at IHS Markit,… projects Samsung Electronics accounting for 47% of global DRAM market share in the third quarter, up from 43% in the second quarter.
Samsung saw its market share grow in the first half of the year, and it's third-quarter projections will only widen its lead over second-place SK hynix.
Samsung, in the third quarter, is also expected to maintain its leading position in NAND flash-memory chips with 39% of global market share.
