If you want to visit Leh in winter, the only possible option from Delhi is by plane, since many roads, being at altitudes of about 5,000 meters, are cut (many of them open only from July to October). Winter is usually considered low season and that is very fortunately noted in the price of the plane ticket, that a Delhi-Leh, oscillates over the 8,000 rupees. Actually, landing or taking off at Leh airport is one of the most beautiful visions that can be seen. In our case, when doing it in winter, seeing all those snowy mountains is unspeakable. The curious thing about this airport is that all flights take off or land before twelve noon and even, the vast majority of them are concentrated before eight in the morning. This is because the weather changes there are very abrupt and can cause strong winds to appear in the afternoon.
