Starting today, the South Korean government is temporarily suspending tours to the inter-Korean border village of Panmunjeom due to worries over African swine fever.
Seoul's Unification Ministry says it made the decision with the UN Command... to prevent the spread of the disease.
Paju, the city where Panmunjeom is located, is where African swine fever first broke out two weeks ago.
There are currently nine cases of the disease around the country.
The Panmunjeom tours will also be suspended for tourists from overseas.
The government says it will work to resume the tours as soon as possible once the disease subsides.
