Beyoncé and Solange Knowles Test
Negative for Mutated BRCA2 Gene The sisters reportedly tested negative for
the mutated human tumor suppressor gene, which can put females at
a higher risk of developing
ovarian and breast cancer. Their father, Mathew Knowles,
told TMZ that the girls got tested after
he found out he was a carrier of the BRCA2 gene. To mark the start of Breast Cancer
Awareness month, Mathew revealed
that he has been battling breast cancer. He is currently cancer-free after
having "three lymph nodes" removed.
