The filmer told Newsflare: "Major incident, numerous police and ambulances. Public trapped in Tesco's to avoid the crime scene."

TfL's traffic news account tweeted: "Strand (WC2R) at the junction of Fleet Street - The road is blocked in both directions due to a collision."
