Yavatmal assembly seat is considered a hot seat. This hot seat is also because in the last few elections this seat has not been dominated by any single party, and because of this the competition here is also strong. At present, this seat is occupied by BJP. In 2014, Madan Madhukarrao Yarawar of BJP defeated Santosh Marotrao of Shiv Sena by just 12,27 votes.

यवतमाल विधानसभा सीट काफी हॉट सीट मानी जाती है. ये हॉट सीट इसलिए भी क्योंकि पिछले कुछ चुनावों में इस सीट पर किसी एक पार्टी का वर्चस्व नहीं रहा, और इस वजह से यहां टक्कर भी जोरदार होती है. फिलहाल इस सीट पर बीजेपी का कब्जा है. 2014 में बीजेपी के मदन मधुकरराव यारावर ने शिवसेना के संतोष मारोतराव को महज 12 सौ 27 वोटों से हराया था.
