Based on operation, the Forest Department on Friday seized a truck laden with illegal timbers (AS 09C 6178) at Rupaisiding area of Doomdooma under Tinsukia District.
As per sources, the illegal timbers were seized from a godown named ‘Northeast Timber’ in Rupaisiding.
Meanwhile, Yuva Congress President (Tinsukia Unit) Shivnath Chetia demanded an investigation against the alleged timber mafias who are operating in the district
