Hyundai Asan Corporation, the primary company behind inter-Korean tourism, said it was perturbed by the report of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un's instruction to remove the South Korean facilities at Mount Geumgang tourist resort.
In a brief statement, Hyundai Asan said it would respond in a "calm manner" to developments.
It spent around 190 million U.S. dollars on building the resort.
South Koreans were allowed to visit Mount Geumgang resort starting in 1998.
But the tours have been suspended since 2008 after a South Korean tourist was shot dead by a North Korean soldier.
