U.S. military chief voices hope for resolution of Seoul-Tokyo intel-sharing pact

The Chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff has expressed hope of finding a way for South Korea and Japan to renew their military information-sharing pact before it expires next week.
According to Japan's Kyodo News Agency,... General Mark Milley made the remark on Tuesday following a meeting with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe where the issue of the GSOMIA pact was discussed.
Milley hinted that he wants to try to resolve the issue when he arrives in Seoul on Wednesday.
He's scheduled to meet with the head of South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, General Park Han-ki on Thursday,... for the 44th Military Committee Meeting,... which are annual talks between the allies' JCS chairmen.
