With violent protests at Hong Kong universities showing no signs of easing, some students from mainland China have fled their campuses.  Citing concern about student safety, organisations and community groups based in Hong Kong, as well as in the nearby special economic zone of Shenzhen, have offered to help. Students from other places outside Hong Kong have also reportedly been making their way off campus, leaving dormitories and in some cases the city itself to avoid trouble.
