17.1 million unique U.S. viewers have tuned in to
watch the Netflix film so far, according to Nielsen.
Martin Scorsese’s mafia film debuted
on Nov. 27 on the streaming platform.
The film stars Robert De Niro, Al Pacino, Joe Pesci and Anna Paquin.
'The Irishman' also had a limited theatrical run in the U.S.
In comparison, 'Bird Box,' starring Sandra Bullock, had almost 26 million U.S. viewers in its
first seven days in Dec. 2018.
Netflix has yet to release any information
on how 'The Irishman' has performed.
The film's long runtime of 3 hours and 29 minutes has likely deterred some viewers.
