The Sheikh Zayed tunnel in Abu Dhabi has four lanes in each direction and reduces the travel time from Sheikh Zayed Bridge to Mina Street to 20 minutes. The tunnel is equipped with several latest facilities for the effective operation. Al Salam Street Tunnel Project, later renamed as Sheikh Zayed Tunnel Project in Abu Dhabi includes a 3.6 km tunnel which is the longest in the Middle East.
