The Citizenship Amendment Bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha. On the other hand, protests are being held in many parts of the north-eastern states. Students at Assam's Guwahati University shouted slogans against the bill. On the other hand, there have also been reports of violent protest in many parts of Assam.

लोकसभा में नागरिकता संशोधन विधेयक पास हो गया है। दूसरी तरफ पूर्वोत्तर राज्यों के कई हिस्सों में विरोध प्रदर्शन किया जा रहा है। असम के गुवाहाटी यूनिवर्सिटी में छात्रों ने बिल के विरोध में नारेबाजी की। दूसरी तरफ असम के कई हिस्सों में हिंसक प्रदर्शन की खबरें भी सामने आई हैं। राज्य के कई हिस्सों में तनाव की स्थिति है।
