Vaca Muerta, the world's second-largest reserve of shale gas and fourth largest reserve of oil, is home to the indigenous Mapuche people and they warn that the burgeoning oil and shale gas industry here, in particular the controversial fracking technique to extract it, has irreversibly damaged their ancestral homelands, and with it their traditional way of life.
