A pileup left dozens of vehicles mangled in northern China amid foggy and slippery conditions.

In the video, shot in the city of Jincheng in Shanxi Province on December 24, dozens of vehicles are seen crumpled together on the icy road.

Wet conditions meant the road became slippery, while fog also caused low visibility.

The section of the road was closed but no casualties were reported.
