In many parts of the country, vigorous protests about citizenship continue. The government is being sought to withdraw the provision of granting Indian citizenship to refugees under the new Citizenship Amendment Act. The special thing is that the Government of India grants citizenship on fixed terms. However, citizenship can also revoke by violation of conditions.

देश के कई हिस्सों में नागरिकता को लेकर जोरदार विरोध-प्रदर्शन का दौर जारी है। सरकार से नए नागरिकता संशोधन कानून के तहत शरणार्थियों को भारतीय नागरिकता देने के प्रावधान को वापस लेने की मांग की जा रही है। खास बात ये है कि भारत सरकार तय शर्तों पर नागरिकता देती है। जबकि, शर्तों के उल्लंघन पर नागरिकता छीन भी सकती है।
