Sanders Surges
to the Top With Biden
in Democratic Presidential Bid The results of a new
CNN poll show the Vermont Senator
at the top of the pack of hopefuls. The poll marks the first time
Sanders' numbers have surpassed
Biden in the bid for the 2020
Democratic presidential nomination. It shows that 27% of registered
Democrat voters — and left-leaning
independents — support Sanders. Biden remains in
the top tier with 24% of
Democrat voter support. With a 2% poll margin
of error, neither candidate
currently has a clear lead over the other. The results are a 7 point improvement
for Sanders since the Dec. CNN poll. The same poll shows that
Biden, Sanders, Warren and Bloomberg
are supported by registered voters
significantly more than President Trump.
