To increase the security of official messages, the Government of India is preparing to bring its own instant messaging app like WhatsApp. The platform will be named Government Instant Messaging Service. For this, testing is being done under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology. Sources say that in addition to the central government and government department, if the state wishes, they can also use it.

ऑफिशियल मैसेज की सुरक्षा बढ़ाने के लिए भारत सरकार वॉट्सऐप की तरह खुद का इंन्सेटैंट मैसेजिंग ऐप लाने की तैयारी कर रही है. इस प्लेटफॉर्म का नाम गवर्नमेंट इन्सटैंट मैसेजिंग सर्विस रखा जाएगा. इसके लिए मिनिस्ट्री ऑफ इलेक्ट्रॉनिक्स एंड इन्फॉर्मेशन टेक्नॉलजी के अंतर्गत टेस्टिंग की जा रही है. सूत्रों का कहना है कि केंद्र सरकार और सरकारी डिपार्टमेंट के अतिरिक्त अगर राज्य चाहें तो वो भी इसे यूज़ कर सकते हैं.
