17-year-old Pankaj Kumar, who was enrolled in the Ayushman Bharat-PMJAY scheme, died after being told his illness wasn’t covered by the scheme. He was not even allowed to transfer to the Rashtriya Arogya Nidhi scheme, which could've covered his treatment.
