There has been a debate on the National Population Register i.e. NPR and National Civil Register and NRC across the country. At the same time, protests are continuing across the country regarding the citizenship law. Meanwhile, Maharashtra Chief Minister and Shiv Sena Chief Uddhav Thackeray has given a big statement about NRC. He said that he will not implement the National Register of Citizens in Maharashtra. The CM said these things in an interview to Shiv Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana'.

देशभर में राष्ट्रीय जनसंख्या रजिस्टर यानी एनपीआर और राष्ट्रीय नागरिक पंजी और एनआरसी पर बहस छिड़ी है. वहीं नागरिकता कानून को लेकर देशभर में विरोध प्रदर्शन जारी है. इसी बीच महाराष्ट्र के मुख्यमंत्री और शिवसेना प्रमुख उद्धव ठाकरे ने एनआरसी को लेकर बड़ा बयान दिया है. उन्होंने कहा कि वे महाराष्ट्र में राष्ट्रीय नागरिक रजिस्टर को लागू नहीं करेंगे. सीएम ने ये बातें शिवसेना के मुखपत्र 'सामना' को दिए एक इंटरव्यू में कही.
