Drivers were shocked when they saw this truck with a huge Nazi swastika painted on the back.

The outrageously offensive 18-wheel lorry used for carrying construction materials was travelling on a highway in Bangkok, central Thailand, last Thursday (Feb 13).

Motorist Chamorn Chingduang was returning home when he noticed the symbol, used by the National Socialist German Workers’ Party, or Nazi Party, in Germany from 1933 to 1945.

Chamorn said: "I'm so confused about how can a truck have a giant Nazi symbol painted on its container.

''The owner of the vehicle needs to learn about the history of the world before putting that on the back.''

The Southeast Asian country is notorious for its use of Nazi imagery. In September 2018, a Thai love motel sparked outrage with a bizarre Nazi-themed room decorated with murals of Adolf Hitler and swastikas while playing adult movies.

In January 2019, a member of Thailand’s most popular all-girl band, BNK48, wore a shirt portraying Nazi Germany’s state flag with a swastika emblazoned across it during a televised rehearsal, drawing “shock and dismay” from the Israeli embassy.

While in December last year, Mastercard was forced to slam two men who posed in front of its Christmas display in Bangkok wearing Nazi military uniforms.

Rabbi Abraham Cooper from the Simon Wiesenthal Center in California said: ''Sadly, these instances show that the country has a long way to go before it understands the full scale of the atrocities committed by the Nazis.

''One thought for all Thai people to reflect on is that the Nazi racist ideology detested all people of color as do today’s Nazis.''
