Footage from last Wednesday (February 19) shows Braman, from Oklahoma, wearing shorts, hoody and two backpacks while he allegedly stealing the Gucci wallets.

The store manager Kanthima Niyakiat later reported the crime to the police and took the footage to show them as an evidence.

The police traced the suspect and arrested him the following afternoon (February 20) at a nearby shop.

They took the American back to his rented home and confiscated the stolen goods worth 43,040 THB (1,051 GBP) that he had hidden them in the closet.

Braman allegedly confessed to stealing the goods and was pictured pointing at the items hidden in his wardrobe.
