Minor flare-ups involving two communities are not that uncommon in the capital but full-fledged communal riots are not frequent. It was in 2014 that the city witnessed large-scale violence in the Trilokpuri riots. Seven years later, communal violence has come back to haunt the capital as the anti-CAA protests taken a violent turn.
