A tame elephant in south India became enraged and started ripping up trees and lashing out at nearby people.
The elephant, named Oladikara Kalidasan, was visiting the city of Thrissur, Karnataka, on March 6, when it flew into a destructive rage.
Footage from the scene shows its handlers and the elephant squad attempting to calm and restrain it using ropes.
Reportedly no one was injured despite the elephant's outbursts.
The use of tame elephants in India is considered highly controversial, as the means of taming and controlling them has often drawn criticism for its perceived cruelty.
