Cardi B to Donate Royalties
From ‘Coronavirus’ Remix When Cardi B first posted a video to Instagram
talking about the coronavirus pandemic, she had
no idea it would be remixed into a viral song. The vocals from her rant were turned into a
catchy song by DJ iMarkkeyz, which instantly went
viral on TikTok and rose through the iTunes Charts. Now, Cardi B and DJ iMarkkeyz have both
confirmed that all the proceeds from the song
will go towards coronavirus relief efforts. When asked by a fan to donate the song's royalties,
DJ iMarkkeyz said it was “[his] goal” to do so, which
prompted Cardi B to respond to the tweet as well. Although she reminded fans that she and DJ iMarkkeyz
wouldn’t receive royalties from the song right away, Cardi B said they would donate when they
received them, as the need for donations
