The Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine given to newborns and children to prevent childhood tuberculosis appears to offer protection against coronavirus disease (Covid-19), according to US researchers who analysed the wide variation in the intensity of the disease in different countries.

एक स्टडी में यह पाया गया कि बीसीजी वैक्सीनेशन से न केवल इंफेक्शन कम हो जाता है बल्कि मृत्यु दर भी कम होता है. विशेषज्ञ ने बताया कि Obseratvion बताता है पश्चिमी यूरोप और अमेरिका जैसे वो देश जिन्होंने BCG vaccination नहीं कराया वहां, संक्रमण का दर बहुत ज्यादा है. इसकी वजह से वहां मौतें भी ज्यादा हो रही हैं.
