खाड़ी देशों से भारतीयों को निकालने के लिए नौसेना ने एक व्यापक योजना बनाई है। इसके लिए 14 जहाजों को तैयार रखा गया है। नौसेना के वाइस चीफ वाइस एडमिरल जी अशोक कुमार ने कहा कि खाड़ी देशों से भारतीय नागरिकों को निकालने के लिए हमारे पास कई युद्धपोत तैयार हैं। इसके लिए हमने 14 युद्धपोतों को तैयार रखा है।
