In the lockdown phase three, on Monday, when liquor shops opened after 40 days, a huge crowd of liquor lovers walked towards the hall. There was a competition to stock the liquor by flouting all the rules. Alam was that long queues were seen outside the wine shops in the morning. The Excise Department estimates that on the very first day of opening of the shops, people bought liquor worth about 225 crores in the entire state.

लॉकडाउन फेज थ्री में सोमवार को 40 दिन बाद जब शराब की दुकानें खुलीं तो दारू प्रेमियों की बेतहाशा भीड़ मयखाने की तरफ चल पड़ी. सभी नियमों की धज्जियां उड़ाते हुए लोगों में शराब को स्टॉक करने की होड़ देखने को मिली. आलम यह था कि सुबह-सुबह ही वाइन शॉप्स के बाहर लंबी-लंबी कतारें देखने को मिलीं. आबकारी विभाग का अनुमान है कि दुकानें खुलने के पहले ही दिन पूरे प्रदेश में लोगों ने लाइन में लगकर करीब 225 करोड़ की शराब खरीदी.
