The state recorded the largest single-day spike with 85 fresh Covid-19 positive cases and sixth death due to coronavirus on Sunday. This took the tally of coronavirus cases in Bihar to 696.Principal secretary (health) Sanjay Kumar said almost all new cases are those who had returned to Bihar by special trains from Delhi, Gujarat, Maharashtra and other states this week.

बिहार में कोरोना तेजी फैलने का खतरा मंडराने लगा है. क्योंकि बिहार में जो करीब डेढ़ लाख लोग वापस आए हैं उनमें जब 1900 लोगों की रैंडम जांच हुई तो उसमें 148 लोग पॉज़िटिव पाए गए. और जैसे-जैसे जांच की संख्या बढ़ती जा रही है वैसे-वैसे पॉजिटिव मरीजों की संख्या भी बढ़ती जा रही है. मसलन 10 मई को 1907 सैंम्पल में 89 लोग पॉज़िटिव पाए गए. जबकि 6 मई को 596 लोगों की जांच हुई थी जिसमें 7 ही लोग ही संक्रमित मिले थे. इसी वजह से बिहार में आने वाले दिनों में कोरोना के मामले तेजी से बढ़ने की आशंका जताई जा रही है.
