After all the drama, Bharatiya Janata Party’s BS Yeddyurappa on Thursday took oath as the Chief Minister of Karnataka, even as his party was short of simple majority. Karnataka Governor Vajubhai Vala on Wednesday invited Yeddyurappa, the legislative leader of the single largest party, to form the government. Despite emerging as the single largest party, the BJP fell short of the majority in the Karnataka Assembly elections and the Governor has given 15 days time to Yeddyurappa to prove majority on the floor of Assembly.
