A huge ruckus was created in the Rajya Sabha today over the vandalisation of statues across the country. Vice President Venkaiah Naidu raised the issue and dispraised his concern over the matter. The vandalisation started on Monday, when Vladimir Lenin's statue was razed in Tripura, continued by the statue of Periyar in Vellore in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday evening, and statue of founder of Bhartiya Jana Sangh, Syama Prasad Mukherjee, in Kolkata, West Bengal on Wednesday morning.
