Interestingly, in a major push on Saturday, the Shri Rajput Karni Sena finally decided to withdraw the protests against Sanjay Leela Bhansali's magnum opus Padmaavat. Quite unexpectedly the fringe group has taken a complete U-turn over its earlier stance stating that Padmaavat glorifies the valour of the Rajputs. Eralier, the Rajput group had accused its makers of distorting historical facts. A rumoured dream sequence between Rani Padmini and Alauddin Khilji is the principal reason behind all those fracas since 2017.
