The postponement of the ICC T20 World Cup in Australia, schedule for October-November this year, to 2022, which might open up a window for the IPL 2020 is expected to be formalised when the ICC's all-powerful board holds a tele-conference on Thursday (May 28). The decision, if it is formalised, owing to the COVID-19 pandemic will give members a chance to chalk out their bilateral blue-print in the coming months. he ICC Board is also likely to discuss the issue of tax exemption for the 2021 T20 WC in India as BCCI has sought more time due to the lockdown.

फैंस के लिए एक अच्‍छी खबर आ रही है. इस साल होने वाले टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप का 2022 तक के लिए टलना लगभग तय हो गया है. मगर अच्‍छी खबर ये है कि वर्ल्‍ड कप टलने के साथ ही अक्‍टूबर में आईपीएल के आयोजन की संभावना भी इसके साथ बढ़ गई है. गुरुवार को इंटरनेशननल क्रिकेट काउंसिल की एक टेली कॉन्‍फ्रेंसिंग किए जाने की उम्‍मीद है. आईसीसी बोर्ड के सदस्‍य ने पीटीआई को बताया कि गुरुवार को होने वाली बोर्ड मीटिंग के दौरान टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप को स्‍थगित करने पर फैसला लिया जा सकता है. इसकी संभावना न के बराबर है कि इस हालात में टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप आगे बढ़ सकता. खबर के अनुसार ब्रॉडकास्‍टर चाहते हैं कि 2021 टी20 वर्ल्‍ड कप भारत में ही हो.
