Kanye West who is famous for his rap music has stepped forward to help those adversely affected by the novel coronavirus outbreak. His charitable collaboration has helped provide 3, 00, 000 meals to the needy in Los Angeles. The reports stated, West name-checked the fast-food firm Chick-fil-A in his 2019 track "Closed on Sunday", and partnered with them to help Christian non-profit the Los Angeles Dream Center provide food and other items to those in need since March 2020. According to the reports, Dream Centre founder Matthew Barnett has thanked the firm for helping him and his team to provide around 11, 000 meals per day since first receiving the donations. It has transformed the organisation into a hub for those having financial issues due to the coronavirus pandemic. Matthew Barnett took to his Instagram to thank Kanye for his support, a posted a collage picture of Kanye and Chick-fil-A with a caption that read, “So many wonderful friends during this time. Looks like we’ll be doing this for awhile so every act of kindness is cherished. I love you all! Thank you to everyone!! The 400,000 milestone not far away. Dreamcenter.org.” In a statement Matthew said, "The Los Angeles Dream Center has transformed into the Grand Central Station of food distribution and other basic essentials. I'm so grateful that our team has stayed healthy, and that we've found a safe way to meet the urgent needs within our community." He further added, "I can't say thank you enough to the various donors who've made this a reality. This is what a neighbourhood, a community, and a church should always look like." Apart from this, Kanye has also made donations to the We Women Empowered charity in Chicago, Illinois.
