Londoners take a knee in Brixton, the centre of Britain's Afro-Caribbean community, to pay tribute to George Floyd, an unarmed African-American man whose death during his arrest brought once-in-a-generation protests to the United States for the past week. The call was put out by the organisation "Stand Up To Racism", encouraging people all over Britain to "Take The Knee" on their doorsteps at 6 p.m. BST, part of a day of action in solidarity with the "Black Lives Matter" movement and to highlight the disproportionate deaths from COVID-19 among BAME (Black, Asian and minority ethnic) communities in the country.
