This is the powerful moment a young girl on her father's shoulders led the chants during a Black Lives Matter protest in New York on Saturday (June 6).

The clip filmed on the walk between Grand Army Plaza to Manhattan City Hall shows the moment the little girl chants "no justice, no peace" with the other protesters.

The filmer explained to Newsflare: "the video was taken on Saturday during a peaceful protest in support of black safety and justice in America and the defunding of the NYPD. The small girl in the video led a chant for a large protest group."
