The BCCI has been waiting for ICC's verdict on the fate of the T20 World Cup so that it can plan the schedule of the 13th season of the IPL. Though an official announcement from the ICC is still awaited, the CA's take on the subject has given the Indian board an opportunity to hold advanced-level talks with all franchises and state associations and take decisive steps towards hosting IPL in the next few months. many events have resumed over the past few weeks, the fate of the T20 World Cup – to be held in October-November this year – has been in focus.

आईपीएल कराने के लिए बीसीसीआई पुरजोर कोशिश कर रही है. गांगुली खुद चाहते हैं कि किसी भी हालत में इस साल आईपीएल का आयोजन हो. एक आईपीएल 2020 को लेकर एक बड़ी खबर निकलकर सामने आ रही है. इनसाइड स्‍पोर्ट की खबर के अनुसार गांगुली 26 सितंबर से 8 नवंबर के बीच आईपीएल का यह सत्र करवाने की कोशिश कर रहे हैं. खबर के अनुसार पिछले कुछ दिनों से बीसीसीआई सभी फ्रेंचाइजियों से बातचीत कर रहा है. हालांकि वर्ल्‍ड कप स्‍थगित होने के बाद ही इसकी अस्‍थायी तारीख पर काम किया जाएगा. आईसीसी की मीटिंग 10 जून को हुई और वर्ल्‍ड कप पर फैसला टाल दिया गया है, जो जुलाई में लिया जा सकता है.
