To better enforce the so-called "distancing in daily life" rules like washing hands for 30 seconds, …South Korea has come up with ideas like singing soap dispensers.

At a bathroom in a museum in Seoul, …the soap dispenser plays a song when pressed.
“Wash your hands, doo-roo-roo-doo-roo, with Ollie, doo-roo-roo-doo-roo, wash your hands, doo-roo-roo-doo-roo, with soap ”
The 30-second song encourages children to develop the habit of thorough hand-washing in response to the COVID-19 outbreak.
“Most children struggle to keep track of time. When the song starts to play, children think of hand-washing as a fun activity and can better follow the 30-second rule.”
Washing hands is the first line of defense against all kinds of pathogens.
Korean health authorities say the sufficient amount of time to properly wash hands is 30 seconds.
“Thoroughly washing fingertips and in-between fingers takes at least 30 seconds. If you wash your hands whenever necessary, you will wash your hands more than eight times a day.”
However, it’s not easy for most people to consciously wash their hands for more than 30 seconds.
The most well-known method is to sing 'Happy Birthday' twice while washing your hands.
Recently, an app was developed to help count those 30 seconds, …and hand-washing stations have been installed in parks and on the street.
Wash basins have also been placed inside stores that sell cosmetics and household items.
“I’m scared to touch products because of COVID-19 but basins installed where a lot of people come and go are very convenient.”
Under the eased "distancing in daily life" scheme, washing hands is the most simple and easy measure to keep oneself healthy.
