Due to the corona virus epidemic, International Yoga Day is being celebrated in homes this year. Before the sixth International Yoga Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi in a video message appealed to the people to celebrate this day in their homes in view of the Corona virus epidemic. Many leaders of the country including President Ram Nath Kovind, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Chhattisgarh CM Bhupesh Baghel also did yoga at their homes.

कोरोना वायरस महामारी की वजह से इस साल अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस घरों में रहकर ही मनाया जा रहा है। छठे अंतरराष्ट्रीय योग दिवस से पहले प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने एक वीडियो संदेश में लोगों से अपील की कि वे कोरोना वायरस महामारी के मद्देनजर इस बार यह दिवस अपने घरों में ही मनाएं। राष्ट्रपति रामनाथ कोविंद, दिल्ली के मुख्यमंत्री अरविंद केजरीवाल और छत्तीसगढ़ के सीएम भूपेश बघेल समेत देश के कई नेताओं ने भी घरों पर ही योग किया।
