Fire destroyed dozens of homes in the Imperial County town of Niland, California, fastly spread from strong winds on Sunday (June 28).
According to the Imperial County Public Health Department (ICPHD), an estimated 40 homes had been destroyed as of 12:30 am.
"As soon as we saw the smoke and saw it was getting worse we checked up on friends and went with hoses and shovels to help them prevent theirs and other houses from the spread of fire," the filmer said.
"All the town's electricity and the signal went out, the local school was used to aid people in any help they needed."
