A baby elephant was rescued after falling into a 10 feet deep well in Kerala, southern India on July 1.

The footage shows the 7-year-old animal struggling at the bottom of the pit as forest officials attempt to dig out a path for the elephant.

After a four-hour rescue operation, the elephant was able to climb out of the well and back to safety.
