Zoo-keepers prepared a tub with water for orangutans to cool off during the summer heat in Songkhla, southern Thailand. Footage from June 27 shows the excited 31-year-old Orangutan named Nancy eyeing the bathtub before she jumped in and enjoyed the cold water as temperatures reached 35C. The zoo visitors were also happy to see the staff take care of the animals in the zoo and for the public to visit again after the coronavirus restrictions were lifted. One of them said: "It was great to see the staff prepared water for the animal in weather like this. I was also happy to watch Nancy playing in the bathtub as she appeared to be enjoying it a lot." Thailand allowed the reopening of zoos on June 15 but the establishments are still bound by coronavirus guidelines to prevent the spread of pandemic, such as daily visitor limits and two entry periods (morning and afternoon) only. To help them regain business, the zoos will accept customers free of charge until the end of the month.
