American rapper Kanye West tweeted on July 4, 2020, that he would run for president this year. He will be competing with Republican President Donald Trump – who West has vocally supported – and Democrat challenger Joe Biden. Since West seems to have not yet filed any paperwork to the US Federal Election Commission, and he has already missed deadlines in some US states, it is unclear if he is serious about his bid to get on the ballot for the presidential poll on November 3.
