2022 succession politics might play a big role in determining the fate of the new proposed third basis allocation formula of revenue to county governments. 21 aggrieved senators from the affected counties have threatened to boycott the building bridges initiative being spearheaded by president Uhuru Kenyatta and opposition chief Raila Odinga.
