A wildlife photographer spotted a rare sighting of a British adder in the grass in Wales.
The clip, filmed in Caerphilly on July 13, shows Ewan Wilson on a morning walk as he stumbles across a rare sight of the UK's only venomous snake.
The photographer keeps his distance whilst getting the close-up shots of the surprisingly beautiful reptile.
Ewan told Newsflare: "Knowing that snakes are very defensive the best way to keep this encounter safe is to keep a distance.
"I hope that my sighting of this adder can help people fall in love with our British snakes. I hope that when people see them in the wild they feel the same awe that I feel, whilst keeping a safe distance and taking a few pictures while they're at it," Ewan told Newsflare.
