India man makes ‘coronavirus goddess’ shrine to pray for workers on pandemic front lines

A man from India’s southwestern state of Kerala has begun worshipping a “coronavirus goddess” at a shrine he built near his home. Saying his project offers a way to ask for divine protection for frontline workers, Anilan Muhoortham explained that Hindu traditions “promote the concept of seeing god in every molecule”.
