Thousands took to the streets of the Thai capital Bangkok on July 18, 2020, for the largest anti-government protests the nation has seen in recent years. The group of mostly younger demonstrators demanded sweeping political reforms, ranging from a call for dissolution of parliament to the abolition of Thailand’s royal defamation law.
