After being postponed for three months due to the pandemic, the 2020 SAC Classic Festival finally kicked off, with 14 orchestras ready to perform to audiences until August 10th.
The Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra opened the festival,... playing a piece by Brahms and Schumann.
Empty seats were hard to find, showing just how much people have been waiting for live musical performances.
The head of the first show says this is such a rare but valuable chance... not only because the audiences can enjoy the real acoustics of live concerts but also because it shows the world how well South Korea is dealing with the pandemic.

"As well as the live broadcast of these classical performances, the wide screen at the outdoor stage at Seoul Arts Center will broadcast a variety of shows for visitors to enjoy."
Videos of performances that previously took place at Seoul Arts Center including the 'The Nutcracker' ballet will be played on the screen,... so people can enjoy a picnic on the artificial grass while watching the performances.
What a wonderful chance for us to get rid of some of that stress. Are there other classical festivals to enjoy?
