Marines with Marine Wing Support Squadron 171, 1st Marine Aircraft Wing, conduct a Forward Arming and Refueling Point (FARP) and Fleet Carrier Landing Practice (FCLP) exercises on Ie Shima, Japan, Jan. 9 2020.

The exercises enabled CH-53E helicopters with Marine Heavy Helicopter Squadron 462 and Marines with MWSS-171 to re-fuel the F-35B Lightning II jet during FCLP training, improving the operational readiness, versatility, lethality and support for 1st MAW and 3rd Marine Expeditionary Force.
